Ozempic manufacturer weight loss pill, weight loss pill vs injections

Not everyone appreciates shots. Injections can be difficult and frustrating for many people. If you want to lose weight, injections have become the way to go.

Not so fast. Recent studies are creating opportunities for a pill to be used instead. Here’s what you need to know.

New Weight Loss Pill?

Ozempic’s manufacturer is Novo Nordisk. Ozempic is readily known for its injections for weight loss. However, it is working on a weight loss pill that would step away from the required injections. Recent information suggests that this pill could be an incredible opportunity. In fact, it is working better than Wegovy and other weight joss injection options.

The company reports that this weight loss treatment helped people lose 13% of their body weight. That’s in just 12 weeks. The Phase 1 trial of amycretin is still far from done. Changes could happen. The early study suggests significant changes in body weight that surpass that of the competition.

Could a Weight Loss Pill Instead of an Injection Be the Solution?

A weight loss pill is easier to take than an injection. It could create even more interest in the weight loss process. Amycretin works in the same ways as injections to a point. That includes targeting the GLP-1 hormone that stimulates weight loss. How effective they are is still to be determined. There are plenty of additional tests underway before pills will be readily available.

There is certainly a race to find the best weight loss method out there. Pills could be one route. Yet, there is no likelihood that obesity pills will replace injections completely. There is also little reason to believe they will be as effective in the long term. Unlike other procedures like weight loss surgery, once you stop taking the pill, the weight could come back on.
